Signal Data & Patented Processing

In Wantware, signal data (video, audio, LiDAR, X-ray, sensor streams) is not stored as raw bytes. It enters as a SignalAptiv: a semantically structured unit that carries usage policy, responds to context, and can be enhanced at runtime without interpolation, training data, or switching file formats.

Signal data as Aptivs

Depending on their role, signal inputs become one of three Aptiv types within a [.wv] stream:

Aptiv type What it handles Example inputs
SignalAptiv Continuous sensory or signal-based data Video streams, audio feeds, telemetry, LiDAR point clouds
ExperienceAptiv Evolving interactive or immersive environments Simulation content, training environments, XR feeds
RecordAptiv Structured facts with spatial or temporal anchors Annotated medical scans, tagged photographs, diagnostic reports

These Aptivs are not passive containers. They carry usage policies, respond to environmental context, and adapt their presentation based on user role, device, or runtime conditions, all without external enforcement layers.

The processing model

MindAptiv's signal processing applies first- and second-order gradients of an input signal, computes those gradients as quaternions, then derives their logarithms. The resulting richer gradient vectors are used to reconstruct a new signal with measurably greater fidelity than the original.

This is a mathematical transformation: not interpolation, not statistical upscaling, and not AI hallucination. The output is grounded in the structure of the input. The technique applies across the full electromagnetic spectrum: radio, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, X-ray, and beyond.

Because the processing is deployed as Aptivs inside [.wv] streams, it operates without code, without latency overhead from external tools, and without retraining. Resolution, contrast, and behavioral response can be tuned live, without switching file types or rebuilding pipelines.

Issued patents

Three U.S. patents cover the signal processing capabilities underlying Wantware. All claims on the first patent were granted without modification and the examiner found no prior art in any closely related area.

Patent Scope
US 10,037,592 Digital quaternion logarithm signal processing for images and other data types. All claims granted with no modifications; no prior art found.
US 10,846,821 Gradient signal processing for video signals.
US 11,373,272 Multi-dimensional gradient signal processing, natural language interfaces, and multi-processor optimization.
Patent consultant assessment

"The patent examiner was not able to find any prior art that was even close to similar. All of the claims on US 10,037,592 were granted with no modifications. This is rare. The technology is unique, and MindAptiv could own a broad technical field."

Supported input formats

Nebulo, the data management layer within Essence, ingests the following signal and media formats and elevates them into semantically structured Aptivs. All inputs are treated as signal data with meaning, not as passive file attachments.

Use cases by domain

Domain Application
Medical diagnostics Adaptive imaging that sharpens low-resolution scans in real time; access control and audit policy embedded in the scan itself
Edge AI and navigation Real-time GPU optimization for navigation and object recognition on constrained hardware such as Jetson Orin Nano
Video over constrained networks Visual quality exceeding 4K streamed over 2G connections using resampling powered by Meaning Coordinates
Security and intelligence Tamper-proof video and audio with contextual awareness; policy-enforced access without external DRM layers
Immersive training Personalized, adaptive simulation environments built from SignalAptivs and ExperienceAptivs without static content pipelines
Regulated communications Built-in enforcement of communication constraints across jurisdictions, without post-hoc compliance layers
Practical Takeaway

Signal data in Wantware is not a file to be processed; it is an Aptiv with embedded policy, live adaptability, and mathematically grounded enhancement. The three issued patents cover a technique with no known prior art. Teams integrating diagnostics, surveillance, simulation, or edge sensing workloads can request a technical briefing to evaluate fit against specific pipeline requirements.
